Dining experience just out side Kaivopuisto, Helsinki on a little island. This restaurant has an amazing view, straight to the sea. Its definately worth the visit when visiting Helsinki.

NYC bar hopping

I went to NYC last July to have a look whats happening in the Big Apple. the bar scene over there is vast and there are so many bars to see that I had to pick some according to my friends recommendations. What I saw over there was a lot of speak-easies and classic bars, but it was definately lacking modern cocktail experiences.

There are some of the best pro’s working in NYC. It is worth seeing how they do their work and how they prepare all the cocktails. Here are some pics from my trip over there.

Singapore

I was fortunate enough to visit Singapore in June 2009. We stayed at the Raffles Hotel, which is one of the most legendary places in the world of cocktails. Sipping Singapore Slings in the Long bar at Raffles in one the things you should experience!

I was there for the Heering Accessorize cocktail competiton final, representing Finland in the mixology competition.

Tallinn, Estonia bar scene

I was visiting Tallinn in February 2009 for work purposes and at the same time checking out whats happening over there. There are some cool looking cocktail bars & restaurants over there, but in my opinion not enough bartending skills to make balanced cocktails. The city is developing constantly and hopefully will keep on building the cocktail scene in the future. We will hear about this one for sure later on….
